Marketplace terms

Bids are binding

A bid is an offer to buy at that amount. It cannot be retracted. A maximum bid authorises us to bid on your behalf up to that amount, one increment at a time, and it cannot be lowered once set.

How a lot closes

Each lot has a closing time. A bid placed inside the final anti-sniping window pushes that time outward, so a late bid cannot win on timing alone. There is a limit on how many times this can happen, so every lot ends.

Reserves

A seller may set a reserve — a minimum they will accept. You are told whether a reserve exists and whether it has been met, never the amount. If bidding ends below it, the lot does not sell.

You cannot bid on your own lots

An organisation may not bid on a lot it is selling, and neither may any of its members acting through another organisation. This is enforced when the bid is placed.

Payment and delivery

Vehicles are paid for and collected outside monobid, directly between buyer and seller. No payment is taken on this site.
